Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 21
Gratitude Crystals, a good way of introducing sidequests or a waste of time? Well, it’s not a bad way of introducing sidequests, but the sidequests are repetitive and there aren’t enough…

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 20
Did you use any of the featured medals? If so which ones came in handy the most? Pretty much answered that on Day 4 too: Lastly, the medals… Apart from the life medals that give you an additional heart container, and from the heart medals in Hero Mode, they’re all pretty useless. I’ll add that I only used the heart medals the first time I played on Hero Mode. It felt like cheating so...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 18
What did you think of having the Harp as an instrument versus other instruments like the Ocarina? I’ve answered that on Day 4: The Goddess’s Harp… Well, why is it called a harp in English? Isn’t that a lyre? Anyway, it’s a bit disappointing. You can’t play the notes you want like with the ocarina, you just do the exact same moves to play any song, and so you can only play them when...

Goddess Cubes; Good idea or too much work than they’re worth? Definitely a good idea, I like to activate all of these. I don’t see how they could be too much work, it’s not like you had to look hard for them, they’re generally pretty obvious, and except for a few useless things, they give pretty good items.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 16
Did you end up getting the Hylian Shield? Well, of course! I can’t imagine finishing the game without it, come on, it’s the Hylian Shield! And it’s not that hard to get in normal mode. In Hero Mode, even if I have to try the boss rush times and times, I just HAVE to get that shield. What kind of hero would Link be if we wasn’t even able to get it?

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 15
What is your opinion on the Trials? Oh dear, how I raged against those things on my first game. I’m still a little reluctant to do them now, but when you know the regions pretty well, they become easier. I’d say they are stressful challenges in a game that is otherwise very easy, so well, that’s not a bad thing.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 14
Which temple was your overall favorite? Ah, pretty difficult to choose. Basically, my favourites temples are the ones from the second half of the game. I usually hate water dungeons, but the Ancient Cistern is really cool. You’re like in some kind of paradise, and then you find yourself in the underground part, that’s just great. But I hate the boss. The Sandship, how could I not...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 13
Which temple did you find the easiest? I don’t know, they’re not that difficult, really. I could say Skyview Temple, but it took me more than an hour to figure out how to put a skulltula on its back the first time (yeah, I know…). I could say the Ancient Cistern, but that would be without taking its boss into account… Well, let’s just say the Earth Temple.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 12
Which temple did you find most challenging? A challenging temple is Skyward Sword? Hmm… Maybe the Lanayru Mining Facility. The whole game is not much of a challenge, but I think I can say this temple was the most challenging, despite being not that hard.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 11
Which temple boss was your overall favorite? Well… I don’t like Koloktos and Tentalus, Moldarach is a bit boring, and Scaldera is cool but couldn’t be any easier (I really love this one when I play the boss rush). So I’ll go for Ghirahim. The first battle, I like it more than the second one. Well, I actually prefer the third battle, but the question is about temple bosses,...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 10
Which temple boss did you find the most fun? I will say Ghirahim in Skyview Temple, because on my first game, I found it fun when he took MY sword and hit me with it.

Which temple boss did you find the most difficult? Koloktos! He killed me several times the first time I played in Hero Mode, and I really fear of meeting him when doing the Boss Rush.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 8
What is your opinion on the introduced concept of upgrading items? I think it’s a good addition to the series, even though some upgrades are useless. I don’t really need to even carry an extra bomb bag, seed satchel or quiver, so why would I upgrade them? I don’t need the scattershot either, as I never use the slingshot… But well, that’s the point – you’re...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 7
Which Surface Region did you enjoy the least? If I can say only a part of a region, I will say Lake Floria, because: It’s a water region. It’s boring. The music sucks. Parella are completely uninteresting and useless. I don’t like the water dragon. If I have to say a whole region, I will say Faron, because that’s where Lake Floria is, and late in the game it’s...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 6
Which Surface Region did you enjoy most? Lanayru. I generally like the desert regions. I think it’s beautiful, I like the colours, the feeling of such a region, the tumbleweeds… And the fact that, with the timeshift stones, you can see how it was in the past, before it was a desert, that’s really cool. It’s a great and interesting region.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword: Addressing the...
potofawesome: Okay, so Skyward Sword has been out for a while now, and it’s gotten a lot of praise. It’s also gotten a lot of criticisms. In my opinion, this criticism falls into two different categories: 1. Plain stupidity, and whiny fanboy/fangirl complaining 2. Legitimate criticism Today I was browsing YouTube, and I came across a video about Skyward Sword Graphics compared to Twilight...

Did you like how the Wiimotion+ was incorporated or not? Yup, the controls are really good that way. Not always perfect, but still very simple to use and practical.

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 4
What did you think of the new items that were introduced? The new items, that’s pretty vague… Let’s see. The Beetle is cool. I like this one. I even tend to go for it to do things that might as well be done with the slingshot, which then becomes useless once I get the beetle. The Goddess’s Harp… Well, why is it called a harp in English? Isn’t that a lyre?...

What did you think of Fi as your guide? (compared to previous ones) Oh dear… Yes, Fi, thanks for repeating what that guy just said, in case I wasn’t paying attention. Yes, Fi, but I could have figured that out by myself. Thanks for treating me like a retard. Yes, Fi, I know that my batteries are low, it’s fucking clearly indicated on the screen. I won’t change them...

Skyward Sword 30 Day Challenge - Day 1
Did you give a name to your Loftwing? If so, what was it? If not, why not? Well, no. Why would I give it a name? The game doesn’t ask for it, and as far as I’m concerned, the bird is nothing more than a mean of transportation. Anyway, if I really had to give it a name, I’d simply call it Epona.

I'VE FINALLY GOT THE HYLIAN SHIELD OMG...
thefallingflower: Getting the Hylian Shield has got to be one of the most frustrating, irksome and adrenaline-seeking experience I ever had to go through in any Zelda game.  Imagine how it is in Hero Mode :D

Just finished Skyward Sword for the third time, this time in Hero Mode without using heart medals. The game’s really cool this way, it’s a bit of a challenge, but still not really difficult. The only time I got a Game Over was during the boss challenge when I was trying to get the Hylian Shield. I was killed by a fucking bokoblin when Lanayru decided to make me fight the horde as the...

Just finished the second quest of The Legend of Zelda for the first time. You are great. You have an amazing power and wisdom. End of “The Legend of Zelda 1” I died 39 times on the two quests. Less than 10 of those deaths were from the first quest…

Aaaaah! I’ve just lost a… heart container? Oh dear. I’ve never played the second quest before and never seen that in another Zelda game, so I really wasn’t expecting that to happen. I thought I’d only take one heart of damage, not actually lose one heart container. That’s pretty mean!

What the hell? I’m playing the second quest in The Legend of Zelda, and in the h=third dungeon I visited only six rooms and then I had the Triforce part. Not even a boss? What is this? Wow. Well, I’ll go back and visit the rest of the dungeon.

Ha! Okay, I’ve got the red ring (and the dungeon map…) and this time I’m going to turn him into ashes! Here I come, Ganon! Four hits with my magical sword, one silver arrow, and here we are, the blue pig is no more! Well, that wasn’t so hard, after all. Let’s take his Triforce and save Zelda. “Thanks Link, you’re the hero of Hyrule.” Yeah, I...

Found the compass. Not really helping right now… Oh, damn… I’ve found the way to Ganon, but I didn’t even have the red ring and no potion left. I’ve hit him severel times, I only needed to fire an arrow… and I DIED. Well, let’s go replenish my health, buy a red potion, find the red ring and kick his ass!

Apparently, “Patra has the map.” I’ve already killed two Patras, how many are there in here? And I don’t have any bombs left. “Eyes of skull has a secret.” Yeah, well I would have guessed that. Going round and round is getting really annoying…

I’m the final dungeon, going through rooms and staircases and rooms and staircases and rooms. I have no idea where I’m going or where I’m supposed to go. This is going to be fun… Aaah, and there are wizzrobes everywhere, and lots of those invincible bubbles, damn! I’ve found the silver arrows, but I have only two hearts left, time to use the red potion…

Exploring the overworld in search for the last heart container. I’ve found an old man saying “Secret is in the tree at the dead-end.” Hmm. I don’t know what you’re talking about, dude. But I’ve found the last heart container, I’m ready now! But… I don’t feel like trying the final dungeon now, I’ll stop here and save it for later.

Oh dear, how the game lags sometimes… “10th enemy has the bomb.” What? Eh, okay… And there’s already the boss? I’ve missed something again. I’ll continue searching the dungeon before taking the Triforce part, I don’t think the boss will respawn… Okay, found the map, a secret room with rupies, another gohma, a useless room with darknuts...
